Verti Green Flexible Panels Installation Guide
(Suitable for the ‘Lush’, ‘Botanical’, ‘Deep Green’, ‘Deluxe Fern’ & ‘Artificial Reindeer Moss’ flexible panels)
Installing your Verti Green panels is simple and straightforward. Follow these easy steps for the best results, based on your wall type:
Fixing Instructions by Wall Type
1. Plasterboard (Stud Wall):
• Use regular screws with plasterboard fixings for secure attachment.
2. Steel Fence:
• Black cable ties are an excellent option to fix the panels securely to the fence.
3. Masonry or Concrete Wall:
• Pre-drill holes and use concrete fixings, such as thunderbolts, with washers for a stronger connection.
4. Timber Fence:
• Use wood screws or high-quality staples. Adding washers to the screws will improve the connection and stability.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Get Some Help:
• Two pairs of hands make the job easier, so enlist the help of a friend if possible.
2. Prepare the Wall:
• For white or light-coloured walls, consider painting them a darker shade (like green, grey, or black) for a seamless finish.
3. Check Panel Orientation:
• Ensure the panels are the right way up before starting. The plants should always ‘grow’ upwards for a natural look.
4. Mark the Top Line:
• Use a spirit level to draw a straight top line on the wall. This will help you align the panels perfectly.
With these simple instructions, you’ll have your Verti Green panels installed in no time, creating a stunning, natural-looking green wall that enhances your space.
4. Mark the Fixing Points:
• Position the first panel on the wall. Gently push the artificial foliage aside and use a pencil to mark the spots where the fixings will go.
5. Drill the Fixing Holes:
• Remove the panel from the wall and drill holes at the marked positions where the fixings will be placed.
6. Insert Wall Plugs:
• Insert a suitable wall plug into each drilled hole. For this example, we used multi-purpose red wall plugs, as the panels have a low weight load. (This installation demonstrates a plasterboard wall.)
7. Start with the First Panel:
• Begin at the top left corner and work your way to the right. While one person holds the panel in place (they’re lightweight at approximately 4kg), the second person can secure it using the appropriate fixings listed above. For this installation, we used 40mm screws with washers, as shown below. Start by attaching the top fixings, then work your way down the panel. Repeat this process until the entire row is complete.
8. Start the Next Row:
• Once the first row of panels is securely in place, begin attaching the second row, working from left to right. Each panel is equipped with clips designed to connect the rows. Using these clips ensures the panels are evenly spaced, creating a seamless finish and making it easier to add more rows if needed.
Finishing Your Installation
9. Continue Panel by Panel:
• Using the same alignment technique, attach the panels one by one until the entire wall is covered.
10. Final Adjustments:
• Step back and check your work. Gently fluff out the artificial foliage to make it look as natural as possible. Pay special attention to where the panels join—pull the foliage at the edges to hide any visible seams and ensure a seamless appearance.
11. Don’t Worry About Loose Pieces:
• It’s normal for small bits of foliage to come loose during installation. This won’t affect the overall look or quality of your finished wall.
12. Admire Your Work:
• That’s it—you’re done! Take a moment to enjoy your beautifully installed green wall.
